Dimitri Athanasopoulos
MScPT, BKin
Dimitri graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy with Distinction from Queen Margaret University in Scotland. As a resident physiotherapist, he is dedicated to helping clients of all ages overcome pain, regain strength, and return to the activities they enjoy most.
With a special interest in orthopaedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain, Dimitri uses a patient-centered approach that combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education. He is actively advancing his skills through specialized training with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Dimitri’s experiences include working as a team physiotherapist for the Edinburgh Capitals ice hockey team in the Scottish National League, where he provided injury management, sports massage, and athletic taping for high-performance athletes. His time as an assistant coach for the ice hockey and soccer teams at Upper Canada College further enhances his ability to design treatments for athletes and active individuals.
Outside the clinic, Dimitri enjoys weightlifting, racket sports, and soccer. A passionate advocate for resistance training, he stays current with the latest research to help clients safely build strength, recover from injuries, and enhance overall performance.
