Do I need a referal to see a physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist in Ontario. You can book an appointment directly with us. However, some insurance companies may require a referral for coverage, so we recommend checking with your provider.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your health card, any relevant medical imaging or reports, a list of current medications, and wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete intake forms.
How long is a typical treatment session?
Initial assessments are typically 45-60 minutes, allowing time for a thorough evaluation and treatment. Follow-up sessions are usually 30-45 minutes depending on your treatment plan and needs.
Is physiotheraphy covered by insurance?
Most extended health insurance plans cover physiotherapy. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for specific coverage details. We provide receipts for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, its severity, and your individual goals. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will discuss a personalized treatment plan and provide an estimated timeline for recovery.
